Practical Engineering completed a third party design certification of an American imported separator vessel to ASME VIII (Div1) to hold gas, oil and water used during well testing operations. Our scope of works included hydrostatic testing of two separators prior to design and plant registration of the vessels with OH&S/ Worksafe for use in Australia as a certified pressure vessel.
While working on the vessels we also assisted the client in change-out and replacement of manifold parts including 602 hammer-unions to 1502 unions. We also conducted pressure testing and replaced parts including gauges, gaskets and valves.
Post registration of the vessels, our team completed the engineering design, drafting and fabrication of an Australian compliant trailer to hold separator and manifold skids to be transported to/ from rig site via a Prime Mover. Post fabrication phase, we fully fitted-out the trailers including supply of TMR Blue Plate and registered each trailer with Transport Main Roads.
