The Oil Heating Skid Prototype was designed and manufactured by Practical Engineering to address the downtime maintenance issues clients experience. The Heating Skid allows rapid heating of process equipment via flexible hose connections, which means clients can continue powering on without any disruptions.
The heating skid features a vertical oil reservoir, circulation pump, heating vessel (15KW heater) and associated pipework and instruments. The (PLC/RTU and SCADA) control systems were created in house and strategically designed to fit within the unit. The skid is also self-contained, allowing for quick deployment and easy, seamless transportation.
To ensure safe and efficient use, the oil heating skid prototype underwent rigorous testing and inspections prior to final delivery. The manufactured skid was tested extensively with client witnessed FATs on the control systems, which involved both testing and commissioning prior to sending to successful SAT. From the design and manufacturing process to documentation, all elements of the project were subjected to intense quality assurance scrutiny.
As part of Practical Engineering’s efforts to exceed customer expectations, we delivered the skid to the client with a full set of operation and maintenance instruction manuals and also provided the client with comprehensive, on-site training in the operation and maintenance of the skid.
