Located in Western Australia, Midland Brick offers a range of services to help those who are building or renovating their home. Practical Engineering was employed by Midland Brick to design and build a block mould turner for their production warehouse. The Block Mould Turner is an electrically operated machine that allows safe inspection of the brick mould bases and tamper heads within a brick manufacturing facility.
The machine has three main structures: the upper arm, lower rotating arm and base frame. The upper arm supports the tamper head, the lower rotating arm supports the mould base, upper arm and tamper head, and the base frame provides the foundation for the machine structure, mould base, tamper head and control equipment.
To ensure the project was completed on time and to the highest standard, Practical Engineering had to thoroughly consider all elements involved in the mechanical and structural design. This required thoughtful leadership and planning on Practical Engineering’s behalf.
